“Avatar: The Last Airbender” – TV Show

Below is the lesson for the 3 Song Medley from “Avatar: The Last Airbender”.

Helpful Tips

In this medley, you’ll learn three Japanese-inspired compositions from the beloved television show, “Avatar: The Last Airbender”. The first two songs, “Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall” and “Leaves from the Vine”, are very beginner-friendly fingerstyle pieces.

While the final song, “The Avatar’s Love”, is a step up in difficulty as it includes a unique barre chord:

null

You’ll notice that this chord is 2 partial (meaning: less than 4 strings barred) barre chords in one; in that your index finger partially barres the 1st and 2nd string, while your middle finger partially barres the 3rd and 4th string.

This is a tough chord to form! But in the lesson video, Matt will be giving you tips and tricks for tackling it, as well as, an alternative fingering option. Furthermore, check out this lesson for extra help with tackling barre chords.
