Q: With over 250+ lessons on Rock Class 101, where should I start?
A: Check out Learning Paths: A step-by-step guide that teaches you how to create a structured plan that takes you from the beginner to advanced level.
Q: What do I get with the free membership?
A: Basic membership gains you access to the Free Lessons Series which includes complete tabs, lesson videos, and jam tracks for: ukulele sample lessons and the technique & theory 101 articles. You will also gain the ability to post in the forums and interact with other members.
Q: What do I get with a paid membership?
A: Premium membership allows complete access to the Ukulele Songs Series, Concept Lessons Series, and all Courses. You will be able to view all video lessons, tabs (printable PDF’s & Soundslice interactive tabs), and jam tracks. You will also receive email support if you need help playing an arrangement. Paid members can request songs! Paid membership includes everything offered with Basic (free) membership. (See previous answer for details.)
Q: Does this membership automatically renew?
A: Yes, it is set to renew every month (or every year), however, you can cancel your membership at any time and come back at any time.
Q: How do I cancel my membership? How do I update my credit card information?
A: For Stripe: To cancel, log in and navigate to “Account Info” on the main menu. Click the link in blue titled “Payments History” listed under “Useful Links”. On the next page, click “Cancel Subscription”.

A: For PayPal: To cancel, log in and navigate to “Account Info” on the main menu. Click the link in blue titled “Payments History” listed under “Useful Links”. On the next page, click “Cancel Subscription”. This will redirect you to PayPal where you will need to log in to your PayPal account and cancel your subscription to “Rock Class 101 – Lessons”. Q: If I want to become a member again in the future, how do I renew my subscription?
A: If you want to become a member again, just log in to the site with your old username and password and click “Account Info” on the main menu. Then click “Add/Renew Subscription” on the menu located on that page.
Q: Can I get a refund if I decide I do not like the lessons and or songs?
A: Yes, you can become a member of Rock Class 101 completely risk free. I’m so confident that you will be blown away that I give a full (no questions asked) 30 day money back guarantee.
Q: I signed up, however, after I log in, I cannot access the video lessons and tabs.
A: Once you are logged in, the site will automatically recognize your credentials and grant you access to the lesson assets (see above FAQ for a list of what’s included with each membership level). If for any reason you have difficulty accessing the lesson assets, please log out and re-log in. If this does not resolve the issue, please contact me at Andrew@RockClass101.com.
Q: I am having problems paying with Stripe or PayPal. What should I do?
A: For Stripe: Make sure that the credit card you are paying with is valid and not expired.
A: For PayPal: Make sure that you have a valid and verified PayPal account and that you know your login information before using the pay with PayPal option. If you don’t have a PayPal account, mark the circle that says “No PayPal account? Use your credit card or bank account (where available).” This option allows you to pay with a credit card without having a PayPal account. **Note: If you have not verified your bank account or credit card, your PayPal account will not allow you to buy or pay for goods and/or services online.
Q: Can I request a certain song that I want to learn?
A: Absolutely! Just email Andrew@RockClass101.com with your request(s) and I will add them to my list of arrangements that I am working on for new material.
Q: If I have a specific question about a certain part in a song, can I get help with that?
A: Yes, email Andrew@RockClass101.com with your questions and comments and I will be happy to assist you with any particular section of a song and explain anything that was not clear to you in the video lessons and tabs.
Q: What is the Soundslice Interactive Tab Player, how do I use it, and what if I have issues using it?
A: The Soundslice interactive tab player allows you to view the video, or audio only, while displaying the tab playback in real time. Begin by clicking on the play button. If you need to slow it down, you can click on the “gear” icon and slow the tempo down to whatever you want. You can also loop a section by highlighting a portion of the tablature. There are two ways to highlight and loop bars on an iPhone or iPad.
1) Double tap the bar. To select more than one bar, simply slide your finger across (beginning at the edge of the highlighted bar) and increase the selection to as many bars as you wish.
2) Tap and drag horizontally to highlight (loop) as many bars as you wish.

If you’re having issues on a smartphone or tablet device, you may want to disable the video portion and only play the audio with the tab. You can do this by clicking on the gear icon and choosing the “audio only” version instead.

Live Lessons FAQ
Q: What happens in a live lesson and how long is it?
A: Live lessons are generally about 30-45 minutes in length, but can extend until all questions are answered. The first 20 minutes will comprise of the lesson, while the next 10-25 minutes will be a Q & A session for premium members. Basic members will be able to watch, but not participate in the Q & A segment.
Q: Do I need to register if I am already a member (premium or basic)?
A: No, we already have your email on file. We will send out an email reminder a day or two before the live lesson takes place.
Q: I am a premium member, what do I need to participate in the live lesson?
A: Absolutely nothing! Simply navigate to the live lessons page during the broadcast to chat with Andrew and other premium members.
* Note: The chat will be limited to 10 premium members for a more intimate Q & A session. The chat is first come, first serve.
Q: How does the Shop work?
A: If you are a member: Please log into the site. Select the product you would like to purchase. Add it to your basket. Then click ‘Checkout’ to complete the transaction and pay via Stripe or PayPal. Upon completing the payment, click ‘Account Information’ on the main menu. You will see a link to download the product in the logged in members menu tab titled: ‘Dashboard’. Under ‘Active Resources’ – the product will be listed and available for download. Right click the link and select ‘Save Target As…’ to download.

Right click the link and select ‘Save Target As…’ to download.
Q: How do I use a coupon in the Shop?
A: After you add a product(s) to your basket, select ‘View Basket’ or ‘Check Out’. You will see an area to ‘Enter Coupon Code’. After entering the code please click ‘update’ and the discount will be applied.
Q: I purchased the ‘How to Write a Song on the Ukulele’ eBook in the Shop, do I get access to premium ukulele membership content for a week?
A: Yes, though this only applies for new customers. Existing premium members receive a 20% discount on all Shop items. Access will expire after 7 days.
Q: I purchased the “21 Guitar Lessons” package, how do I access the lessons?
A: After logging in, click “Account Info” on the main menu. The link to access the lessons will be listed on this page under “Active Resources”.
Q: Can I get a refund if I decide I do not like the products purchased in the Shop?
A: Yes, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, I will issue a full refund. Rock Class 101 offers a no-hassle, 30 day money back guarantee.
Gift Card FAQ
Q: How do gift cards work?
A: You can purchase a gift card for yourself or someone else. Click here to purchase a gift card. If you are a member already, log in first. If you are not a member, you must create a username and password. Check the box titled ‘Purchase Gift Card‘ and complete the remaining form fields. You (the purchaser) will receive a confirmation email once you complete the Stripe or PayPal payment. The donee will receive an email with information on how to log in and a gift card code to redeem the membership. All gift card sales are final and non-refundable. Gift cards do not expire.
Q: I received a gift card – how do I redeem it and log in?
A: Click here to create a username and password. Enter the ‘Gift Card Code‘ you were emailed at the bottom of the form. You will be logged into the site and can begin learning!
