This song is an epic cartoon intro that sounds like an 80’s rock anthem! It uses a variety of sounds and techniques to build intensity from the verse to the chorus. The song begins with fingerpicking and occasional strumming. Gradually, we introduce a few tricky stretch chords. For example in bar 5, to play the G minor chord, lower your thumb on the back of the neck to help your pinky finger reach the 5th fret easier. To make the chorus easier, try leaving out the backbeat (slaps on beats 2 and 4) as you learn the melody, then add it in after you’re comfortable with this.
