This fingerstyle piece was inspired by the fantasy movie, Labyrinth. For those of you who are songwriters, I’d recommend watching the intro of the lesson video. It explains how I “stumbled” into composing this piece. Now I know I’m being very vague, but after watching the intro you’ll walk away with a couple of tips that you can use to catalyst your own writing.

As far as a fingerstyle piece, it’s fairly straightforward to play. Although, the last third of the A Melody (bars 6-9) can be fingerpicked using a 2 finger approach that is quite unique. This method is optional, but is explained in the lesson video.
