    Hi there.
    After a forced stop due to a broken wrist, I’m back to my uke and retaking it with learning travis picking.
    I’ve watched several videos on you tube apart from what you explain here, and they are all different. Some pluck the 4th and 1st string at the same time at the start some others pluck one string after the other, in here you pluck 1st and 2nd strings together.

    So finally which one is right?
    Honestly this is getting on my nerves

    Travis picking is a repetitive right hand picking pattern where the underlying chords continually change. There is not a singular pattern for travis picking like there is for the island strum. It can be different in each song that uses it. The key is that the picking pattern is repetitive.

    @Andrew great definition. It’s why I’ve stuck with RC101
    I struggled with same question a while ago, to realize this.

    Music is like a rainbow of colors 🌈. Not just black and white
