    Hey Andrew. I wonder if you’d consider a lesson on what to do with this sort of thing. I’ve learned how to read the melody line (yay!) And I get chord melody for the chords that match up, like the first and the second G, but what does one do with the third G that has a b flat in the melody? I’m just starting to explore this type of sheet and I see that most of the time the chords don’t match the melody note. Weird.

    Anyway, a future lesson to demystify this would be much loved.

    Hmm that chord should be a G min, as the Bb is the flat 3rd.

    But they always do this. I have multiple books that have chords that don’t even remotely match up with the melody note. I’m clearly missing something…
