    Hello all,

I have a Pono Tenor Mango Pineapple Pro Classic that I absolutely love in terms of looks and sound, but I find that my fretting hand gets sore after a while, especially when playing barred chords. I thought it was me until I got a Koaloha Tenor, which I can play forever without feeling that soreness in the web of my hand. I’d rather not let go of my Pono, but may have to if I can’t find a way to relive the soreness. I did buy it used, but don’t think the action can be lowered more than it currently is.

Do any of you have suggestions to help with the soreness? If not, do any of you have recommendations for a Pro Classic value uke with a thinner neck?

Hard to comment without being able to play it (i.e. if it needs a setup/adjustment). Maybe take it to a shop that does setups to see if they can help? In the meantime I’d play your other Uke.
