For Stripe: Make sure that the credit card you are paying with is valid and not expired.
For PayPal: Make sure that you have a valid and verified PayPal account and that you know your login information before using the "pay with PayPal" option. If you don’t have a PayPal account, mark the circle that says “No PayPal account? Use your credit card or bank account (where available).” This option allows you to pay with a credit card without having a PayPal account.
Note: If you have not verified your bank account or credit card, your PayPal account will not allow you to buy or pay for goods or services online.
Absolutely! Please add your request(s) on this forum post. Every few months, we select 4 songs from that list and let members vote on the one they want us to arrange and teach.
Yes, email [email protected] with your questions and comments, and I’ll be happy to help with any section of a song or clarify anything that wasn’t clear in the video lessons or tabs.
The Soundslice interactive tab player lets you watch the video (or listen to audio only) while the tab plays back in real time. Click the play button to begin. If you need to slow things down, you can adjust the tempo to your desired speed.
You can also loop sections by highlighting part of the tablature. To do this, click (or tap if you’re using a mobile device or tablet) the bar you’d like to loop, then click “Loop” in the player settings. To select more than one bar, drag the edge of the highlighted bar to expand the selection.
If you’re having issues on a smartphone or tablet, you may want to disable the video and only play the audio with the tab. You can do this by clicking the video tab and choosing the “Audio Only” option from the menu that pops up.
For a more detailed walkthrough, reference the second video on THIS PAGE (jump to the 6 minute mark).

Starting in 2024, YouTube videos embedded on websites, including Rock Class 101, may show a message asking viewers to "Sign in to confirm you're not a bot". If you encounter this message, the only way to bypass it is to sign into your YouTube account through the same browser you're using to access Rock Class 101.
To clarify, this prompt is asking you to log into your YouTube account, not your Rock Class 101 account. If you do not have a YouTube account, creating one is free. If you prefer not to create an account, try accessing Rock Class 101 via a different web browser, as the message may not appear there.

If you’d like to enhance the security of your account, you can enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using the Google Authenticator app. This app is available for download on the Google Play store and the Apple app store.
To enable 2FA, log in to your account and click "Account Info" in the main menu. Under the "Useful Links" section, click "Two-Factor Authentication". On the next page, you’ll find a QR code that you can scan to activate 2FA for your account.
Note: Two-Factor Authentication is completely optional and not required.
Live Lessons FAQ
Live lessons are typically 30–45 minutes long but may extend until all questions are answered. The first 20 minutes cover the lesson, followed by a 10–25 minute Q&A session for premium members.
Live lessons take place every second Thursday of the month at 6:00 PM ET (check your local time zone).
Absolutely! One week before the live stream, on the first Monday of the month, there will be a new thread in the Live Lessons Forum that covers what the month's lesson will be about. Basic and premium members are welcome to post questions that are related to the topic in the thread.
Premium members will be able to tune in and watch the livestream. Premium members will also be able to chat live with Matt during the broadcast.
To watch the live stream, simply navigate to the Live Lessons Page. You will see a YouTube video embedded on the page (if you don't see it, double-check that you are logged in).
If you do not wish to participate in the live chat, you can stay on the page and watch the embedded video. If you do wish to participate in the live chat, you will need to sign up for a YouTube account (100% FREE).
To participate in the live chat, click on the embedded YouTube video's title. This will open up a new tab and take you directly to the video on YouTube's website. The live chat box can be found to the right of the video (on desktop). For mobile and tablets, the live chat is embedded inside the video and can be turned on or off.
For further clarification, here is a video showing how to do the above (for desktop).
The live lesson will be released for everyone to view the Friday after the broadcast (second Friday of the month). If you cannot make the broadcast, no worries; you'll still be able to watch the lesson. Don't forget that you can submit questions for Matt to answer beforehand (see the above FAQ).
