Fretboard Memorization Tool
Learn every note on the fretboard.
“Quiz Me” mode uses the settings you’ve selected in “Reference” mode. For example, if you turn on “Whole Notes Only” in Reference mode and then switch to Quiz Me mode, all questions will use natural notes only—no sharps or flats.
The same applies to the “Show Flats” setting. If enabled, accidental notes will be displayed as flats (e.g., D♭) instead of sharps (e.g., C♯) in both the question and the answer choices.
Each question asks you to identify a note at a randomly selected string and fret between frets 1 and 12. Open strings are not included since those correspond to the instrument’s tuning. You’ll be given four answer choices, one correct answer and three incorrect answers, with the order randomized each time.
After answering, you’ll receive immediate feedback. If you answer correctly, the selected button will turn green. If you answer incorrectly, your selection will turn red and the correct answer will be highlighted in green. The next question will load automatically after a short pause.
Your score is tracked throughout the session, allowing you to monitor your progress as you continue practicing.
