“Auld Lang Syne” – Traditional (New Years)

Below is the lesson for “Auld Lang Syne”.

Helpful Tips

The traditional song for New Years, this arrangement of “Auld Lang Syne” was written for the fingerstyle player in mind. I have broken the arrangement into two melodies: the ‘A’ melody and the ‘B’ melody. Think of the song as being 8 bars long. Each melody is 8 bars, thus we are basically repeating the song twice. The ‘B’ melody consists of a few variations from the ‘A’ melody. This creates a subtle change that really makes the piece stand out. I hope you enjoy this arrangement, Happy New Years everyone!
