Hammer-Ons and Pull-Offs are great techniques to master because they add dynamics to your playing, while also cutting down on the picking work required by the right hand. A hammer-on is when you pick one note and hammer-on to another. A pull-off is the opposite. The goal of these techniques is to execute them so that each note rings out with an equal volume level.
