“Moon Waltz” – Rock Class 101

Below is the lesson for “Moon Waltz” by Rock Class 101.

Helpful Tips

A beautiful, Hawaiian inspired waltz that’s played entirely with two fingers. The two fingers are: thumb and index. Your thumb will perform every down strum and every pluck on strings 4 and 3. While your index will handle plucking strings 1 and 2.

By assigning you right hand a role, this allows you to focus on what your left hand is doing. Which is a lot in this song, because you’re going to navigate the fretboard. Meaning, you’ll be jumping up and down the neck. But don’t let that scare you, because this song is a great study for the seasoned beginner.
