Solo in G Major Over Fast and Slow Rhythm – EP001

Learn a Solo in G Major that Works Over Fast & Slow Chord Progressions – EP001

Helpful Tips

In this ukulele lesson, you’ll learn a solo in G major that works over fast and slow chord progressions. The solo is based out of G major pentatonic, which is a 5-note scale derived from the major scale. This solo can be applied to most songs in the key of G major if the chord progression stays diatonic to (doesn’t venture out of) the key. In other words, it probably won’t work over a Steely Dan tune! 😆 But, for most songs, it will! I listed a few examples you can play it on top of below.

Here are 3 songs in G major that work perfectly with this solo:

1) Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door – Bob Dylan
2) Brown Eyed Girl – Van Morrison
3) Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) – Green Day
