In this ukulele lesson, you’ll learn a solo in G Major that works over fast and slow chord progressions. The solo is based out of G Major pentatonic, which is a 5 note scale derived from the Major scale. This solo can be applied to most songs in the key of G Major if the chord progression stays diatonic to (doesn’t venture out of) the key. In other words, it probably won’t work over that Steely Dan tune! 😆 But, for most songs it will! I listed a few examples you can play it on-top of below:
