The theme song to the hit TV show, this piece uses only 3 chords to conjure up feelings of suspense and fright. What I find most interesting in this piece is how 3 simple chords can produce such a gloomy overtone. In the lesson video, I will touch upon the music theory behind this chord progression; but, if you really want to dive deep into it, I’d encourage you to watch this short video.

This piece also serves as an excellent study for fingerpicking, because each chord uses a different fingerpicking pattern. You may find the second chord in the piece, Ab minor, a tricky one to grab, as it is quite an awkward shape. In the lesson video, I will cover the best way to tackle this shape and provide tips on how to transition from the first chord (C minor) to the second.
