    Hi
Looking for a bit of advice. My left hand little finger has had to be fused at the knuckle. Its also 1cm shorter. I used to play guitar but its not now possible (other than slide). Is it worth persevering with the Ukulele. You don’t seem to use the little finger as much. I have a slight curve in the finger that enables me to fret the 1st string only. Any advice or encouragement? I have a borrowed Saprano. Would it be worth having a look at any of the other sizes? Thanks

I bet you can do fine. A lot of players of stringed instruments avoid use of the little finger, and slide the whole hand up rather than use that finger. Chords also can be simplified rather than not be played at all. Giving up the instrument entirely seems a shame.

Of course, should you decide to play harp instead, that instrument makes no use of the baby fingers (unless you play South American folkharp). 😀

    Linda
