“Fly Me to the Moon” – Frank Sinatra

Below is the lesson for “Fly Me to the Moon” by Frank Sinatra.

Helpful Tips

“Fly Me to the Moon” is a classic tune with a strong melody line that adapted well to the ukulele. The intro begins with a muted rhythm mimicking the drum intro on the original Frank Sinatra track. A swung eighth note rhythm is used during this intro. Muted slaps are used sporadically in the song to add a rhythmic quality to the arrangement. Just before the outro an Fmin6 chord is arpeggiated. This was inspired by a harp and should be played in free time. I had a lot of fun with this arrangement and every time I play it I think of Bud Fox and Gordon Gekko!
