    Hi there
    I love Andrews Greensleeves arrangement!
Per accident I always played the second last tone (which is followed by a D) as a C# and I just realised that it is actually a F! For my ears, „C# D“ gives a smooth resolution, whereas „F D“ keeps some tension.
Now I wonder if the F is a result of the original melody or if it was up to the arrangeur to choose this note. And if the latter, what may have been the thoughts behind.
    Greetings from Switzerland

Traditionally it ends on i (Dm), so the last few notes play out if it in my arrangement to stay true to it.

If you swap that note to C#, you’re creating more tension. I’d play it on string 1, fret 4 and end with an octave of the D note: X2X5. Sounds cool though!
