Hi Ukulele friends, hi Andrew,
I am sending you best Christmas wishes with my humble attempt of Mariah Carey’s Christmas Classic „All I Want for Christmas is You“.
It is the most difficult song I have played so far, especially as no tutorial exists for this arrangement, so your feedback of what I could do better is as always highly welcome.
What makes the song so difficult is that in the speedy strumming part nearly always either the E and A string or the G string need to be muted.
When playing I was quite happy with what I have reached, but now listening to my recording the quick part feels a bit rushed and I think it might be better when I play it a little slower and get the rhythm more steady and the notes clearer?
Sounds great, Andrea! Only advice I’d offer is exactly what you said in the last sentence: to practice sections at a slower tempo so you can focus on cleaning up your playing and tightening the rhythm/timing.
