I’m so confused about strings. I’m enjoying the classical pieces on rockclass101 so have started to play them more. But I’m not sure if I have the best strings. (They came with the ukeleles—Aquila?) I have a Cordoba concert and an Ohana low G concert. Sometimes I get frustrated with the Cordoba strings—-tone isn’t great.

Any suggestions for the best strings for fingerpicking classical music?

The most important is the technique but indeed the default nylon strings (typically Aquila Nylgut) are not the most ideal ones for classical pieces. I change them to fluorocarbon to get a warmer tone (e.g Martin)

D’Addario has this guide to their strings

I attached the full page version of the same from a uke magazine

Thanks for the advice (and the fun D’Addario graphic.) Will give some fluorocarbons a try.
