Hi! My name is Ashlee. I spent a few weeks in Tonga this last June. While there, I attended a kava circle and when they played their ukuleles, I felt incredibly relaxed and happy. The ukulele was resonating with my soul. I came home and immediately bought a ukulele then began playing along to YouTube videos. “Lava” and “kava (clap clap)” were the first songs that I attempted. After getting basic chords down, I just played whatever came next on the YouTube tutorial mix.
I have 4 children. Playing the ukulele the past two months, has been a way for me to escape the stresses of everyday life. I came across one of Andrew’s tutorials and I really appreciated the way that he taught. I am extremely excited to continue this new passion of mine and am so happy and grateful to be included in this awesome ukulele family.
