I’mam a total beginner but love the simplicity of the lessons. However I’ve come up against a hurdle for someone like me. At around the 9 minute mark of the first lesson when he is talking about the final part of the first section, he departs unusually from saying what fingers go where and instead talks about an F. Doesn’t help me and I haven’t been able to guess what he is doing. Can someone tell me which fingers go on which frets and strings for this last part of the first section. Thanks.

Maybe it’s G. Don’t know but it is the last part (8th) if the first section around the 9 minute mark. Right now I’m doing the first 7 but can’t finish.

Hi Paul, so in bar 4, you are playing out of a stock F: 2010 to a stock G: 0232.

For F, you do not need to finger the 4th string, as there is nothing played on that string, so in reality, all you need to finger is: X010 – using the index finger for string 2.

Let me know if you have any questions 🙂
