Recently I was interested in putting some high tension/hard tension strings on my low G uke. After doing some research I decided it would be fine. In fact D’Addario nylon ukulele strings are the same diameter as their hard tension nylon guitar strings. What I’m wondering is if there’s an upward bound on safe string tension for ukulele. If I put the “hardest tension” or carbon strings on would I have to worry about any long term damage? Since I didn’t find much on the topic when I was searching I’m guessing that anything made for classical guitar would be fine on the ukulele but I always feel better getting a definitive answer. Thanks

The limit is where the string is tuned.
