    Hello, I just received a Hollyland Lark A1 wireless mic that I want to try for recording my monthly submissions for the challenges.

    @otzepeng
    It is easy to get started with I just need to figure out what the blue and green lights mean. Looking forward to using it for the July 2025 challenge. Thx for the tip.

    @gi_gi I recorded this video with one Hollyland microphone on my shirt. The green light means paired and the blue light means ready to pair.

    @isabelm Thanks so much. This is so helpful. So when you place the mics in place (on uke and shirt) then you put the transmitter in the phone and press record? Is that it? Then when you play it back you hear the difference?

    Yes that’s it! I got the set with the attachment that plugs into your phone. I just plug it in, turn on the mics and when the lights are green they’re paired. Then I record like normal.

    Thanks for all your posts about this type of mic. I’ve been wanting a wireless mic – been watching videos about Hollyland. Good reviews, easy to use and fairly inexpensive. I’m in!

    I’ve ordered mine! Should deliver on Monday. I’ll spend the August challenge working with it. Thanks for sharing this product

    @leb397 – Hey Louisa – I recorded something quick (ok not that quick 5:30) for you about the Hollyland mic I just got.

    @nat-uke That is a HUGE help, full of good info. Especially the tap twice to start recording! Thank you Natalie. I know others will benefit. BTW you are very good at explaining on video 😊👏👏👏 Louisa

    Thanks @nat-uke for the explanatory video; everything is very comprehensive and clear. Those little things have really changed a lot for me… I can still remember, with a cold sweat, my struggles with my USB condenser microphone on my PC. I’m always surprised by how great the quality is (for me as a novice).

    But the best thing is to see how the people here in the forum are engaging with and supporting the new technology, and yes, hopefully many will benefit from it – whether they record themselves or can enjoy your recordings.

    Best regards,

    Markus

    @nat-uke I recorded my first entry (September) with the microphone. How easy and ability to start the recording. Thanks again for sharing. Just love it. Highly recommend! Louisa

    Yay @leb397 – Just listened to your Sep entry – good job! It’s easy isn’t it?! I need to do my Sep recording. I was contemplating going to the beach, but I don’t know – that might be weird – haha. (And I’d have to figure out how to place my phone / tripod etc – unless I found a rock in just the right spot.) Too much trouble – I’ve talked myself out of it. Backyard recording instead!
