“Maybe I’m Still Amazed” – Rock Class 101

Below is the lesson for “Maybe I’m Still Amazed” by Rock Class 101

Helpful Tips

Learn a beautiful fingerstyle piece inspired by Paul McCartney’s “Maybe I’m Amazed.” This piece is based on the chord progression that’s played during the chorus, as well as the sweet, melodic sound of the stripped-down moment between guitar and piano that’s played at the end of the 1976 live version by Wings.

Our piece begins with the same four chords McCartney used in the chorus, then adds a new one to expand the progression, along with a unique B melody section. Throughout the piece, voice leading is used to create smooth, flowing movement between each chord change.
