In this session, you’ll learn why the biggest issue with tablature is the lack of information it provides. Tablature alone tells us nothing about the duration (rhythmic value) of the notes and chords to play. But if you learn to decipher the value of the dots in standard notation, you can play any sheet music placed in front of you!

Rhythm and timing are areas of music that require continual study. If you are new to studying this, please start here. Although, the BEST way to gain a thorough understanding of how rhythm and timing connect is by learning to read standard notation.
