Beginner – Hammer Ons and Pull Offs

Hey all,
I just took the beginner lesson on hammer ons and pull offs. I’m struggling with how to do a hammer on/pull off all on the same pick. The string loses it’s sound by the time I get to the pull off portion and you can’t hear it at all (on the A string in particular). Do I just need to work on picking harder? Any tips or suggestions for mastering HO/PO?

Cj, can you post a video playing it a few times? It could be form or a strength issue. I’ll be better able to help if I can see/hear what’s happening.
