Beginners Guide, Module 4 Unit 2

Hi everyone,

I am at the fingerpicking unit, 3 finger approach vs 4.
I have a question about the speed, I can do the 4 finger approach at about 70% speed but I cant seem to get faster…should I practice until I get it there or is it mainly about getting the pattern…what do you think?

Hey there. My perspective is, get the pattern down and move on applying it to songs. It has taken me a few years to get songs up to speed, and often I’m still too slow no matter how much I practice. 70% is very respectable. Speed comes with time… sometimes lots of time.
