You often discuss efficiency and minimizing unnecessary hand movement. Why aren’t the last four notes of measure #2 played on the same string?

Even though they are the same interval, a unison, the note will have a different color if played as an open vs fretted. Plus, it keeps the consistency of the picking pattern constant.
