Finally making progress

My name is Mel, I live in Sydney Australia, and I have been strumming along on my Uke for about 2 years.

Until recently my Uke was just to join in with my local Uke group, more of a social thing, but recently I had heard something especially beautiful played on the uke, and I decided I wanted to be able to do that too.

I love the concept lessons, when I finish them I find another piece of music that uses the concept, to try and help it stick with me.

My son is a natural musician, he can play anything, drums, guitar keyboard etc. I had lunch with him last week and was just mucking around on my uke. He looked at me and said, wow, you got better. I was blown away that I had improved enough for him to notice.
