Hi from the Netherlands

Hi there!

I’m Pauline, 25 years old, and I live in The Netherlands.
I used to play classical guitar, but because of fibromyalgia I had to stop (for now). Fortunately I found the ukulele. Because I am already familiar with the guitar, the use of a guitar-like instrument is not al new for me.
I just joined Rock Class 101, and I go trough the beginners course first. General things like hand position are not new for me, but, for example, the chords are.
Barre chords are tricky, because those cause a lot of pain by my thum, because of the fibromyalgia.
Easier chords / fingering are fine. And I hope it will stay fine and (almost) painless.
I also play the recorder, for 18 years now.

Welcome Pauline! Sorry to hear about your pain, I know all too well about that as I’ve been playing through issues for the last 6 years 🙁 I hope it improves for you! Let me know if you ever need any help on the lessons! And yes, a background in guitar is a great start/help for the uke 🙂
