    Hi guys,

I would like to play together with a friend who plays a B toned Saxophone (also a beginner).
Means when she sees the note C and plays it a B tone will come out out of here instrument.

What would be the right way to play together (we would like to try Bare Necessities from Jungle Book).

    a) Find notes and let the B saxophone play it and transpose everything by hand to one tone below for my C tone concert Ukulele?

    b) Let the Ukulele play the original notes and transpose everything by hand to one tone higher for the B Saxophone?

    c) Tune every string of my Ukulele to be one tone deeper? (Would that do any harm to my strings tuning them back and forth?

    d) Any other options?

Sorry if this might be a stupid question.

    Thanks for advice,
    Andrea

    a), b), and c) would all work.

FWIW, I already have a Bb-tuned uke (one semitone lower than you would need). Going back and forth would cause issues with holding tune, but it’s fine if you don’t change it often. I just leave one of my ukes in Bb tuning permanently.
