Mute accidental pull off noise?

I think there’s a lesson around somewhere that explains how to mute the strings when you’re getting accidental noise like a pull off when changing chords. I can’t find it. Anyone know where it is?

Fingerpicking Etude no. 11 talks about using the palm of the right hand to mute the strings that we do not want to hear (and are not playing).
