Hello, I am wondering where I can find the latest things uploaded to the site. I am looking for the past few songs I saw uploaded to You tube. Theyre not as easy to find as I thought. I know I can search for them by title but what if I don’t remember the title and/or am just interested in the latest uploads? Thanks

Hi @gi_gi_, the second video on this page will give you a rundown of how everything on the site works. But, as far as finding the new Friday lessons, on the right hand of the screen (sidebar), you’ll see “Recent Lessons”, which will list the five newest lessons that I’ve posted. It looks like this:

    null

FYI: It only shows up on the sidebar for lesson pages, not search pages like the pages in the main menu, “Ukulele Songs” or “Courses“.

Thanks Andrew. I’m not seeing recent lessons on the page. Does that show only on certain pages? I’ve clicked all the tabs at the top and yhe only things showing up on the right hand side are the latest chats.

It only shows on lesson pages, such as Fur Elise.

The forum has its own sidebar, which is related to forum activity 🙂

Thanks for your help. One more question. When I click Concept Lessons and Free Lessons at the top I don’t see it.

Are you saying I would have to search for any song first then see it on the sidebar?

Gi gi click on Free Lessons you will then see a list choose fur elise or any lesson. After you choose the lesson you will see on the right hand side of the page a list of the latest lessons.

Yes, it only shows up on lesson pages. Concept Lessons or Free Lessons show a unique sidebar that allows you to search/sort through those lessons.

Check out the second video on this page. It’s a rundown on how to navigate the site 🙂

Also, do you receive our newsletter? We send one email a week, every Friday. That’s the best way to stay up-to-date with new lessons.

This is actually something I’ve also been looking for, and while the current solution (navigating to a specifc song lesson in order to see the list of the five most recent song lessons) does work, it’s not as intuitive and user friendly as it could be and might be worth being considered as optimization area when the next opportunity for a remake comes up.
My particular suggestion: when navigating to the Ukulele Songs area, by default i see the list of all songs (currently 293) in alphabetical order, spread across 20 pages.
A simple setting that would allow me to change the order from aphabetical to posting date (newest to oldest) would be ideal.
Another setting that would allow me to see all entries on one long page instead of across 20 pages would be even better yet. That would also allow me to use the standard browser search functionality and would be a great addition to the very useful filter and search area on the right.

I’d like to add that even if it’s not possible or too complicated to add an option to switch between alphabetical order and posting date in the song list, it might be worth considering to change the default (and only available) sort order from alphabetical to posting date, always showing the newest song lessons at the top of the page. I would highly prefer that order, and I can imagine a majority of the users might do as well.

That’s a great suggestion, but unfortunately it’s not possible at the moment. They are working on a new version – which should have been out months ago – but supposedly it will have even more features than it currently does 🙂
