Problem with the C string

I have 4 ukes…varying from 50 dollars to 200 dollars…and they all have one characteristic common to each…when I strum…the c string just has an overtone that is quite distracting when hit as an open string…and throws off the whole song…it is most awful on my tenors…I play my soprano now more because the C string overtone is not as bad…my soprano and my kala tenor uke have both been professionally setup…but they still have the issue…just not as badly…any suggestions

That string rings louder than the others. The best advice I can offer is to try to approach playing on that string with a lighter touch.
