I wrote a new little Etude. My boyfriend hates me for it. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

I was messing around with triplets, then remembered the triplet lesson Matt gave. Then I picked a chord my cat showed me, 8888, and found other chords that go with it.

Then I wrote lyrics. It’s my only song with lyrics. I will spare you, as I can neither sing nor write lyrics and it is painful, but you can imagine them if you wish. They’re basically “I wanna be a kitty cat” over and over again, with a couple of meows and purrs.

We’re talking Mozart level composing, here.

I’m sharing for silliness sake. I think I need the next challenge.

Without further ado, here is I Wanna Be A Kitty Cat.

    The fog comes
    on little cat feet.

    It sits looking
    over harbor and city
    on silent haunches
    and then moves on

Your etude reminded me of My favorite poem from high school. I like it A LOT!

Wow, I get improvement points for this little ditty? πŸ˜€ Thanks Andrew.

Rickey, that’s a great verse two. Verse one is I wanna be a kitty cat. Because I really do.

I enjoyed that, thank you. You can almost hear your lyrics through the music.
