Here is my submission for the December Challenge – “Angels We Have Heard On High”. I really enjoyed learning this one and it gave me some good practice playing with chord shapes that I’ve been trying to use more. I only wish I could have gotten some of those notes to ring a little more clearly. Oh well, I guess that’s what practice is for. Merry Christmas!

I really enjoyed this month’s challenge. I started out trying to learn “Moon” and spent a couple of weeks on it, and then decided to switch and do “La Gitanita” instead. I think I share the same sentiment with others when I say that things seem to fall apart when I record myself. Oh well, I just guess that means I need to keep practicing, eh?

Here is my submission. This song was definitely a challenge for me, but I had a lot of fun learning it!

Thanks for the opportunity to participate! My two questions are:
1. Is there a specific reason or advantage why Kanile’a incorporates bridge pin styled bridges in their designs?
2. There has been some talk about restrictions of using popular tonewoods that are becoming depleted, such as rosewood and koa. Are any of these restrictions affecting Kanile’a currently, and what is the plan for the future if these woods become prohibited for use?

Here is my entry for this month’s challenge. It was a lot of fun and I learned some things. I’m going to keep working at it as I think my biggest difficulty was maintaining an even and steady rhythm.
