“Wildwood Flower” – American Folk Song

Below is the lesson for “Wildwood Flower”

Helpful Tips

Learn an American folk song that’s entirely played with clawhammer technique. Originally composed in 1860, this song gained popularity in the late 1920s through a recording by the Carter Family.

The song comprises three parts: an intro, a verse, and a chorus. The latter two parts are repeated, with the first iteration played at a beginner-friendly level, while the second iteration becomes more challenging and is better suited for intermediate players.
