    Hi Andrew
Just a quick question do you think it best to be able to play chords with out looking. I have mainly played on the first 3 frets since I started and can find my way around without looking. I am learning heart and soul which is a good song to get higher on the fret board. It just seems so foreign to me further up the neck. Have you any tips on knowing where you are on the fret board or is it just muscle memory alone.
    Phil.

Yes, I do. Although, you may not like how I learned to do it, lol! I used to practice in the dark, that way I couldn’t cheat. It really just comes down to: the more you do it, the easier it gets.

For me, I found motivation to master not looking by knowing that one day when I gigged, I could look at and connect with the audience instead of staring at the fretboard.
