@Andrew: Thx for your friendly feedback. The bendings are one of some more issues since i blow the dust of my Tenor Uke and restringed it low g (maybe it still falls out of tune a bit faster as i recognized 🤔). It’s also a long time ago since i recorded everything directly via pickup and daw – you can hear everything very clearly …. for good and for bad.
I hope for another challenge in low g – so i can practice on those issues! 🤗

    Hi All!

I worked on EP 014, 5 Strum Patterns – 5 levels. I really enjoyed learning to play this song. The ghost notes and rasgueado were quite challenging for me, as this was my first time learning and using these techniques.

I chose the 5 strum patterns this month. I love learning strumming patterns, the progress is so satisfying! 😊

I started learning April Smiles as well, but I couldn’t get the second melody A up to speed. I’ll keep practicing though because the tune is very beautiful. 😊

Well sorry but this attempt is rather sad. Timing way off but I’ve run out of time and am recovering from a cold.

Here is my attempt at concept lesson number 1 solo in G. I will keep practicing and hopefully get my fingers and brain to work together faster

    Hi!

I chose the “walking bass lines” lesson. I had a really fun time learning them, but I have a long way to go when it comes to smoothing them out. In any case, I’m inspired to try more of the concept lessons from this challenge.

Hi everyone, this challenge really got me. 😅 I worked on the 50s Blues & Rock and nearly got it down, but I would have needed a few more days to record it with the backing track. So I made a last minute change, and here I go with the Reggae Rhythm & Blues. Both versions are in one video.

    12 Bar Jazz Blues EP009

When I started recording tonight the sun was just going down and I was more visible – but it became darker a lot quicker – going for that jazz club vibe is my cover story! Really enjoyed this one – love that solo and pushing out of the comfort zone with the backing track – took some working to get that timing right – and still a good few things to polish

my attempt at 5 Strum Patterns: 5 Levels – EP014
I am being slow, I will have to continue to work on this, better memorization, and then getting up to speed. I just will need to continue and spend more time. the last two parts fell apart, I can do the first and second faster but its going to take more work and time spent even on those sections to even approach what Matt is doing.

the Next Level Strumming Techniques lesson Matt had was helpful, may of the things by themselves were more doable switching them out with each other was a bigger challenge, something to continue working on.

    Hi everyone,
here’s my attempt of EP015. I call it “Lazy fingers’ blues”. It’s only 75% speed and it’s obvious that I haven’t practiced enough. 😉

This was my first time trying to play with a backing track. I practiced with the tab viewer and thought I was good. But when I tried to use the backing track, it all fell apart. Any suggestions?
