Oh! When I read about the “vibrating phone sound,” I thought of Klangphonics. They play techno on anything they can get their hands on, including the ukulele and household appliances (everyday items). I’ll start a new thread so as not to clutter this one.

@dianna, haha, apparently you do! It looks very beautiful! I only have a little tree for myself, but I had zero time to set it up or anything, so I just admire others’ trees! 😉 Thank you so much for that! I’m starting to see this is how I love to play ukulele – Take a simple(ish) arrangement and play it in the way I feel most comfortable and in a kind of style that I love to play, which is very flowy (technical term). It’s very lovely how encouraging Andrew and Matt have been about my enjoyment of playing that way and that’s really helped me develop that skill even more. 🙂 Ha, away in the Manager, who knows what that means, lol! For some reason, the picture of the Bible is out of focus in the video; the picture by itself is perfectly in focus. I’m the worst; I feel like I should know the Leonard Cohen reference. :S I hope you enjoy your holidays, too, friend! 🙂 ❤️

Here is my attempt at Baby It’s Cold Outside:
It’s been a struggle to hold my rhythm while singing and playing at the same time but this is MUCH better then where I started the month. If I can figure out YouTube I’ll try to do that, but wanted to get a full recording up that I have now. I’ve been a long time background person, so I’m excited about joining you all for these now! One of my goals for 2026 is to do the challenge each month and I decided why not start now :).

I chose one of my favorite Christmas Carols- Away in a Manger.
I loved this arrangement, so simple and beautiful, yet NOT without challenges!
My fingers do whatever they want even when I have the piece memorized!!
I used my brand new Hollyland Lark A1 wireless mic for the first time. I put one mic on my sweater and the other on my Uke. I think it sounded pretty good but probably only needed to use one.
