When strumming a chord that does NOT contain the A string, how do you consistently stop your strum before you hit the A string. Is there a technique for consistent results? Follow through momentum sometimes makes me hit the A string accidentally.

I’m interested in this too. I try to land resting on the a string, but I tend to go the other way and sometimes miss the e string too. Tips welcome.

Ricky, are you working on heart and soul with me?

Wow awesome fast service. 😀 thanks Andrew.

I’m pretty sure you have that first technique on the live lesson supplement to Here Comes the Sun.

I think it was also in here? I haven’t relistened but I think there was a tough flicky flick.

    And… You’re such a tease with the low G. I can’t wait!

Thanks for the links, Lisa! The first low G lesson should be coming out Oct 26 🙂

This same strum technique (strings 4-2 only) was taught in Aura Lee and it starts around 5:36 mark.

Thanks, Andrew. Two nice options for me to work on.

Thanks, Kanae I’ll definitely check out Aura Lee.

Lisa, Thanks for reminding me. I got side tracked with Take me out to the Ball Game. So I’ll put that aside and go back to Heart and Soul. Will keep you posted.

Thanks Kanae. That’s exactly the technique we’re looking for.

Tough one, especially when done on a bar chord. I’ll get there…

A low G lesson is coming soon???? Woot! I just put a low G string on one of my ukes. I really love the way it sounds.
