ParticipantHi!
Well, this is what I was able to do for the moment:
https://youtu.be/V_MDXHkKa4M
I need to increase the tempo, but it’s a good place to start for me, thanks a lot!About what you are teaching me, I want to see if I understood correctly.
I have a High G Ukulele, so I won’t be using the 4th chord.
In our song, the only chord suffering the loss of the 4th string would be Am7 right?Dm
4- A *
3- D
2- F
1- AAm7
4- G *
3- C
2- E
1- AGm
4- G *
3- D
2- G
1- A# / BbThe other thing I didn’t know from your response is that the first chord that I arpeggiate should be the bass. Is this always the case?
I’m also learning this song: https://open.spotify.com/track/0KuHbgbax7bm2AlNfRDCFM?si=c9cb35562b0247c1
C[: Bm / % / % / % / Am / % / % / % / Bm / % / G / D / Em/%/%/%/Am/%/% /%/Bm/%/%/%/G / % / D / % / Bm / Am / G / % :]
I trasposed it to:
F[: Em / % / % / % / Dm / % / % / % / Em / % / C / G / Em/%/%/%/Am/%/% /%/Bm/%/%/%/G / % / G / % / Em / Dm / C / % :]I was plucking the 4th chord and then strum strum. Should I pluck the 3rd and then strum strum?
Thanks a lot!!

ParticipantHi Jana,
Thank you so much! I was out all day yesterday and didn’t even get a chance to pick up my ukulele, but I wanted to express my gratitude before anything else.
Please give me a few days to practice what you’ve outlined, and then I’ll post a video to show you.
The arrangement you helped me with for the other song turned out really beautiful; I’ll upload a video of that too for you to see, thank you!
However, I do have a question: how do you determine which strings to pluck for the arpeggios? What should I focus on in my studies to understand this as you do? I feel like I’m getting too technical and missing out on the feel.
Thanks again!

ParticipantHi Andrew,
I’m truly grateful for your kindness and the offer to help. It means a lot to me.
At the moment, considering the economic climate in Argentina and some personal budgeting, I find myself needing to pause and reflect before taking on the cost of the lesson.
I hope to keep the conversation going here, welcoming any advice or insights the community might share.
Thank you so much for your understanding and support.
Warmest regards,

ParticipantHi Robin and Janak.
Thanks a lot four your help! I know there is a lot a work to be done, but it is a start. Thanks!!

ParticipantOk Robin I see what you mean…
Do you think a similar thing can be done though?
I don’t really need it to be exactly the same, but I was completely lost on how to even start to make something to sound good.I’m trying what Janaq sugested, it’s the first time I strum and fingerpick and the same time.
Thanks!

ParticipantOk, NOT like this then?
Just one per chord?I was writing it while you replied
gerygg
ParticipantGreat!
2 bars of each chord?
Is this noted correctly?

ParticipantThanks Janaq!
If I understood this correctly:
1& : strum
2: 3
&3 : 2
& : 1
4 : 2
& : 3I’ll try this and post it. Thanks a lot!

ParticipantHi Robin!
It’s being played on the guitar, yes!The truth is, my knowledge in music is very limited. I thought that anything you do on the guitar could be done on the ukulele…
What do you think might be the best approach even if it’s not the same? I’d really like to be able to play it, but I can’t get anything to sound harmonious…
Thank you!

ParticipantGreat! Thanks a lot
