    @marianne What a lovely way to play! I really need to get myself a proper low G ukuleLE! Looks like I’ll have to start saving up for it soon.

    @emiliano – Wow Emiliano! Incredible playing! You’re 8th note triplet strum technique is amazing. Great feel, timing, and strumming technique all around! I’m def gonna feature your performance in our newsletter on Friday πŸ™‚

    I do have a couple suggestions:

    Watch the tempo going into section D. And in the last section, the quarter note triplets, you’re playing those as 8th note triplets starting on beat 4.

    Quarter note triplets are hard rhythms to play b/c it’s 3 hits split evenly over half the bar. Try playing along with the tab player in synthetic mode with the metronome activated. That should help you get those down.

    @andrew Yes, those quarter note triplets are definitely challenging, especially after playing so many eighth note triplets in the lead-up. I keep finding myself slipping back into that faster groove! I’ll definitely take your advice and practice with the metronome and tab player in synthetic mode to really nail those rhythms. Thank you so much for the guidance!

    By the way I think maybe my email is not getting the newsletter, I check in the spam carpet and there is no newsletter do I need to sign up in somewhere to get those emails?

    @gi_gi_
    Thank you for your words, strumming is really fun πŸ₯³

    @leb397
    Ya its going to be almost one year since I got it and its a super good instrument I am really enjoying playing this ukulele, I do want to get another one for a low g setting but think It will be till next year cause they do not import them to Mexico, so I will have to go to buy it outside of Mexico.

    @emiliano – My pleasure! Our newsletter requires a double opt-in, and it looks like you never completed the second step. I went ahead and took care of it for you, so you’ll receive this Friday’s newsletter.

    @gutoguedes, very lovely playing! I agree with @Andrew that it’s cool how you incorporated strumming and finger picking to fit the theme extra well! 😊

    @dhruv123
    , very beautiful performance of that one! Lovely to listen to! 😊

    @marianne
    , good golly that was stunning! You brought out the feel so, so beautifully. That really couldn’t be more perfect. πŸ’•

    @gi_gi_
    glad you’ll still pop in to see all the entries! πŸ˜‰ πŸ’•

    @emiliano
    , holy crud, that was amazing! Wow! Really, really amazing. I find it funny how keen Andrew’s ears are, of course, to notice the change in rhythm. Meanwhile, my mouth is hanging open like a big derp watching that because it’s so impressive. πŸ˜‰

    @joe150
    , that was very, very pretty! Lovely work! 😊

    Okay, here is my Aura Lee entry so far:

    I kind of explain in the video a bit already, but while I still messed up (because I kept forgetting what came next), looking at the tab, I remember being overwhelmed when I first learned that one (even though I think even back then I modified it for no reason). But now the music itself seems pretty straightforward to me, now I do look at it with new perspective, kind of like what you were talking about @emiliano. I definitely haven’t taken as crazy leaps in skill as you have (probably because I spend so much time goofin’ around) but I feel like I have learned so much through this community, along with the support that has affected me so much, including with my own creative pursuits. Thank you for that. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•

    @joe150 – Very well played Joe! Try memorizing it and singing the words while playing it. That would be a fun way to practice timing πŸ™‚

    @The_Bumble_Bard – That sounds really cool so far Rachael! That technique works really well for this tune and I like how you switch out of it at 1:42. Gives the arr. a really nice change in feel and pace.

    @Andrew, thank you so much for that! It always means a lot when you like changes like that. It’s so exciting when you can apply a technique to a song and it actually works out magically. πŸ˜‚ I also did play through the arrangement without the changes (as I always do before modifying), the song is very beautiful that way, as well. Thank you, though, I’m so happy you liked it! 😊

    @The_Bumble_Bard – Love how you’ve added your own touches with the tremolo and fingerpicking! It would be fun to see your first rendition way back when, three years ago – I imagine you’re feeling a lot more comfortable with your uke now. Which brings me to . . .

    @emiliano
    – Wow! Thank you for talking about how you’ve progressed since you started with Rockclass. That makes me think there’s hope yet for my stumbling fingers!

    @grannieannie, thank you so much for that! I will try to post another take of that one with the tremolo once I smooth it out a bit more. 😊

    I found it, my first entry here:

    Ha! I think the main thing I notice is just how awkward, rigid, and hesitant my movements / hand positions seem to be then, compared to now. Still awkward now, but that was interesting / emotional to look back on. Also, my orange uke didn’t have eyes back then (also, maybe I should do my hair like that again…?). πŸ˜‚ That was also the entry that I won my electric uke with! Good times, all around! 😊
