Participant@otzepeng I hope you see this question. I am ordering the Hollyland mic. What a good deal for about $35. Anyway, it’s so interesting that you attached it straight to the uke instead of your collar. Does it stay on or tend to come off or move while you’re playing? Thanks for sharing.

Participant@gi_gi_ I’m glad you asked that question and hope you post the pros and cons. After @otzepeng mentioned it in his post, I looked it up. Price is good. I desperately need a microphone. I use my iPad and often it’s too far away for good sound or background interference. I’m trying to up my ”game” 😆.
I remember you showed your “recording area” a while ago and I was impressed.July 5, 2025 at 8:34 am #74432gi_gi_
Participant@leb397 Thanks. I would love this to work for me because less is more ☺️ I’m just curious if I would need two mics or just one. There was a set with two but I bought the cheap one 😂. I just want to try it. The Hollyland brand has great reviews so I’m looking forward to it.

ParticipantHeyho @gi_gi_ ,
the magnets doing a great job. I tried ’em at different places and they always held their position. Finally i attached one at my strap and the other at the sideport. I’ll do some recordings with just one mic and then with two when i’ve got time. The results (by my subjectiv feel 😏) i’ll post at the “Discuss your gear” thread.I’ll hope you and @leb397 will make good experiences with your new equip.
Greetings,
Markus

I have been following your guys’s conversation over the Hollyland A1 microphone. It sounds like a really cool little piece of equipment! I’ve been looking at it at their website and on Amazon and I am considering buying the one that has two microphones with the lightning for the iPhone and the USB-C. It seems like it would be very useful to reCord when you’re out and about and I could even use it with my grandkids because they love to make little movies on the iPad. Can you have 2 mics paired to 1 receiver? -MJJuly 8, 2025 at 2:49 pm #74456gi_gi_
Participant@maryjanew Hi, nice to hear from you. I wasn’t expecting to receive two microphones with the $35 kit. I bought that one because my phone uses the lightning cable and I didnt think I would use it with my ipad. It came with two microphones actually. I’m thinking one for the shirt and one on the uke. I havent found a video on you tube that shows how to use it on an instrument. When I get a chance to figure it out more I’ll respond back. The magnets are very good and it’s very small. I’m assuming both mics can be paired to the receiver because mine came with two mics and 1 transmitter. They automatically pair out the box. Super easy.

Participant@gi_gi_ can’t wait to hear feedback from you guys about the A1. I’ll let you know when I decide to order it for myself

Participant@gi_gi_ I have the hollyland mics and place one on the uke near the soy hole and the other on my shirt if I’m singing. Both mics can pair with one receiver. I haven’t posted any videos yet on YouTube with the mic but I have on Instagram @isabelruthmusic. It works great since I like to record videos outdoors and it’s hard to get good audio with a phone that’s far away.
