@The_Bumble_Bard lots of love ❤️ and prayers the hard times you are facing are going to pass soon and you are capable of overcoming any and every obstacle that comes in your life……hardships will always make you stronger…..lots of love ❤️March 29, 2026 at 11:53 pm #80381
leihaliParticipantHi everyone,
i was practicing Winter Glass until the middle of the month. But then @minsterbones posted his I Fall In Love Too Fast around that time, and “I fell in love with the song so fast.” Well, I’ve never thought I would ever post my singing in public, but I AM posting it here because this is a challenge for myself. I also hummed the solo part just because I don’t have any tool to mix the graphics together, LOL.March 30, 2026 at 12:18 am #80384
grannieannieParticipant@leihali: Wow! I’m glad you did post your singing – you have a beautiful voice, and this was a lovely rendition of a beautiful song.

ParticipantHappy March all!
Here is my submission for this month. I worked on Matt’s beautiful Winter Glass and I’m sure I will keep practicing it. I haven’t played much since January, but I don’t want to let a little time away stop me and it was so encouraging to listen to everyone else’s submissions!

leb397ParticipantGreat playing everyone. I’m getting this last minute. Just so busy these day. Feel out of touch with comments but you all are amazing. Rachel, thinking of you and your current struggles with, neighbor, teeth, family. Others so good to see new members and long timer @jbmills07
@leihali, beautiful singing and @abster awesome. Can’t get to everyone. @the_bumble_bard loved your piano. You definitely have the musicality in your bones. You and I started about same time, I know you hate to miss an entry 😕.
Here is my Winter Glass by Matt. Such a catchy soothing tune. I’ve been humming since I started. This is My best takeMarch 31, 2026 at 3:15 pm #80394

nat-ukeParticipantHi All – I also worked on “Winter Glass” this month. Cool little song (get it?) haha.
I don’t feel like this is my best work, but I enjoyed learning it and thinking about its composition. I draw the line at 7 recording attempts – so this is my submission! (my little stumble on the pull off at the very end – I forgot where I was for a micro second – oh…so close!)March 31, 2026 at 8:10 pm #80396
katazumiriParticipant@The_Bumble_Bard, @anyon1, @grannieannie – Thank you all so much for the kind words 🙂
@leihali – Beautifully played and sung! Well done! 👏👏👏
@Misterbones – Thanks for the advice (Kiyoshi Kobayashi, Ukulele Bossa Nova). An interesting selection of pieces. I’m something of a sheet music collector. However, I rarely manage to bring everything written in sheet music to life. (I dug through the treasure trove of sheet music in my stash and discovered two entire notebooks of “Gypsy Jazz.” One notebook contains very simplified pieces, the other more complex.) The fingerpicking in the bossa nova notebook is impressive. The notebook also features a “One-Note Samba.” Oh, I’d love to be a girl in the audience at a MozARTgroup concert, like in this videoOne spring photo for @grannieannie (the January fog has cleared and we sometimes get sunshine). And a couple of close-up photos of flowers for @The_Bumble_Bard. Maybe they’ll become the inspiration for a watercolor?

leihaliParticipantThank you for your kind words @grannieannie, @leb397, and @katazumiri!

The_Bumble_BardParticipantIt’s time for a mega-post! I just want to say I really, really appreciate all the kind words and support right now from all my uke friends here – it means so much to me. These have been some of the hardest weeks of my life (I thought last year was, but nope! 😂). But for the moment, things have calmed, and I can breathe, so I thought I’d write out some replies to distract myself from everything, including my toof pangs currently. 😂😭 But yes, really thank you all so much! 🥰
…
@nelsonlin2021, lovely job on that solo! It’s very tricky. I tried to figure it out on piano, but the ukulele version looks even harder! You really nailed that little run, though!! 🙂
@abster, thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers! It was a lot the last couple of weeks, and we’re still not out of the woods yet, but at least a moment of calm, which is much, MUCH needed. But yes, thank you! 🥰
@jbmills07, very, very beautiful, Justin! You always play so emotively and with lovely clarity with each note! Thank you about the craziness, things have briefly calmed down a bit, at least enough to breathe for a moment, so that’s really good! Hope you’re doing well! 🥰
@malku2603, very beautiful take on that one! I agree with others who say that it’s cool to see how you progress throughout the month. Your steady work paid off, sounds so lovely! And thank you so much for the kind words, I can’t say how much that means to me. You’re so right in everything you said. The last couple of years have tested me in ways I never thought I would be and I have grown so much through it; stronger in ways I never thought I could be and more appreciative of life while it is here. For me, these experiences have drawn me closer to God than I ever have been in my life – that’s why I see His hand in everything that happens, good or bad. I’ve learned even more the importance of treasuring the people around you and being grateful for everything, in everything. Thank you again! 🥰
@leihali, so stinkin’ beautiful! I agree with everyone that you have a gorgeous voice! I want to say that your pitch is pretty immaculate and your tone so clear and lovely! I like that you hummed the solo! Lovely playing and singing! 🥰
@carynjoy, very lovely take on Winter Glass! You can’t even tell there’s been a gap in your playing! 🥰
@leb397, thank you so much for your kind words, Louisa! The root canal is done, as I write this, I miss my face being numb, the pain has set in. 😭😂 With everything happening, the hardest part is the family trouble, having to do with very serious sickness in the family, close family. It doesn’t even seem real. I pray about it constantly. I know God’s will …will be done in all of it. Sometimes, that’s all you can do in life, is fully rely on God to carry you forward. But yes, there is peace in that during turmoil. Your take on Winter Glass was so lovely! That tune is growing on me more and more. And thank you so much about my piano rendition of IFILTE, but I have another take comin’!! I share it after this. Piano I think is more deeply ingrained for me, but ukulele is my “comfort instrument,” always will be. You can’t cuddle with a piano. 😂😂 Anyway, thank you again!! 🥰
@nat-uke, haha your description of your entry is funny! I think it sounds pretty much perfect! Very lovely, in fact! Ha, I also limit my takes, partly because it just gets to be too much. 😂 But your playing sounds beautiful! 🥰 I also appreciate the “production value” of your videos, they’re well put together! 😂
@katazumiri, thank you for that! I’m hoping since things are *very slowly* starting to calm down a bit, I’ll have more time for watercolor, along with uke. Those pictures are really pretty, paint-able indeed! Thank you! 🥰Beautiful work by all!! It was so nice to sit down and feel completely relaxed just for a little bit and write out these replies, watching everyone’s amazing work! Also, I have another post incoming with something I cooked up very last second!! :O
March 31, 2026 at 10:20 pm #80418
The_Bumble_BardParticipantBOOM BABY!! I did manage to scrape an entry together, a very “me” entry that involves patching together a bunch of ill-timed clips, but somehow it magically worked pretty well together! 😂
I tried to play the solo part on piano (just reading the music Evan created) but the timing was really off so I sped up the piano part by 1.5. I think it has a lot of potential; I’ll definitely learn it at-speed in real life at some point. I’m not as familiar with jazz chords at all, so it was harder to make up on the spot with very little time to spare.
I am pretty happy with this overall, considering how very last second and off-the-cuff this was. I am even pretty happy with my singing, I just need to work on the more powerful notes and having a bit more control and sustain, I think.
Also, sorry for how extra disheveled I look; I was in comfort mode. 😂
And the thumbnail is a picture I took on the way to work a couple of months ago of a dazzling sunrise. 🙂
Please enjoy this very chaotic and “real” video! 😂😂

maryjanewParticipantugh! missed by a few minutes! I’ve been working on this for about 2 weeks. It’s not done yet
Thanks for the lesson!

maryjanewParticipant@The_Bumble_Bard -that was great! Thanks for “breaking out” and singing and doing the piano solo part. I didn’t have enough time to attempt singing. Sorry, I’m not one for many words but I do read most of the comments going back and forth. I mostly try to send my encouragement via “brain waves” and good thoughts, but I don’t think anyone is hearing them!😜 Great job everyone on all hard work on your song entries!🤙🏼🫶🏼 👏👏

marianneParticipantThanks a lot @The_Bumble_Bard, @nat-uke, @otzepeng, @dianna, @grannieannie and @abster, all your submissions are lovely! and so sorry you are dealing with all that, praying things will be better soon.
