    @Andrew haha! I’m furious. 🙂
    Thank you for the kind words. I want to go through more of the coursework and just focus on that now. It’s insanely helpful. Thank you for the opportunity as always and I’ll be in the forums more when the holidays slow down. I’ll do my best to catch you on the live stream while I’m driving the fam around.
    Happy Holidays everybody and good job!

    I went for Sevivon Sov Sov Sov for this month’s challenge. I felt more at ease playing during recording and I did better to remember to have fun with it. Though frustration wasn’t entirely absent it was much easier than last month. This month was a little hectic and I didn’t get to dedicate as much time as I wanted to towards practice, but this is the best recording I came up with. It was between this better play through and another recording where I didn’t mess up the out, but slower, more clunky play through. Anywho I hope this suffices and that AJ doesn’t see me butchering his version of a Hebrew song next to a Christmas tree. Merry Christmas all!

    Ps. Donating $30 to UKC

    Thank you for the kind words and your input helps. You’re right, I should try to smile more haha. I have a love for the instrument and the joy it brings me is great. I should remember that in times of struggle.

    @robinboyd Yeah, absolutely no looking at the camera for me. The last thing anyone needs is my eye contact. Haha. Thank you I haven’t given myself props at all I guess. I should be less critical. Your experience helps me believe that I can make it work with more experience. It was a challenging piece for me and I wish I could have made more time to practice, I was so close to having it in the pocket, but such is life. I’ll try and make it so I can play the new challenge in my sleep. See what I can come up with.
    Thank you again for your input I value it, I’ll work on it

    Okay so I hope to get a cleaner set tomorrow and I may attempt a higher speed, as 80-90% seems to flow better for me. I hope I did okay as I never played to a backing track or recorded myself before. The most challenging piece I’ve learned thus far and it was a lot of work, playing it again, again and again. The challenge was so motivating and I appreciate the support and the opportunity. My playing has benefited so much and I’m excited for next month’s challenge.

    I watched some videos. The sound is incredible and the instruments can be so ornate and beautiful. Thank you for your compliment. I love the middle eastern style of playing with the bouzouki. It’s definitely a sound I’ve heard many times and I just didn’t understand what it was coming from so thank you!

    Okay, I will try out some different combos then. I appreciate all of the knowledge that helps a lot.

    Awesome! My question is, will the ukulele model accept a wound sting well? So far I’ve accepted the fact that I may have to adapt my play style to my strings. I’d love to do that and have done so, but it feels… unique, which I have done so far and think it will make me happy, but it is challenging. Is a soft thumb common? Or is more consistent strings more common?…… anywhooooo I love the look of black and red, second kind of cool. Maybe adjust pressure is best for me. Or… I may be limiting my potential. My goal is relevant to bringing joy to all who are willing to listen.

    What is bouzouki? I feel like I should google before I ask, but I’d rather know as to what it means to you. I’m new too! So… Welcome! Haha let’s play the sounds together! Welcome friend..

    So, I was looking for a good (great) sweet child of mine tab. I came across this absolutely stunning prize ukulele. A tenor of which size I have yet to acquire. I thought “prize?” I could win this. So I purchased a premium membership with familiarity of the usefulness of these lessons, the prize, and the challenge. Leading up to this I was working on a Zapateado by Juan Martin. Since the beginning of this day I took on Valse Venezolano No2 as this is my bread and my butter. As I’ve only been playing so long this song is perfect for my skill level. Challenging and a step up for me. (I’ve learned harmonics as well as other skills.) A long day of practice practice practice and I decided tonight to rip Zapateado. All of the sudden I can “play” it with much less effort! So regardless if I win the prize in December or I beat myself up over this solo.. whatever! These lessons are true to my ambitions, push me, and now I feel I walk on a more structured path towards what I aspire to be as a maker of melodic bliss. I thank you after one day and look forward to December’s challenge.
