anyon1ParticipantHappy Holidays!

I’ve enjoyed learning to play this beautiful arrangement in the midst of other holiday-type activities this season. Here I am in front of my family’s tree and Yule(Tube) log.

nat-ukeParticipant@abster – wow, that was awesome and made me smile 😊. He plays so smoothly and confidently – making it look easy. ❤️ p.s. love the thumbs up and big smile at the end. 👍👍 😊😊

leb397Participant@abster just amazing as I have said in the past. Well done. Dad, you make an excellent point. Adults do have less confidence. A child’s innocence is beautiful to see. AND he likes dinosaurs as my grandson does too.😁👏 Merry Christmas

This is one of my favorite Holiday tunes, and Matt’s arrangement is so cool I had to work with this one. Here is my submission, I still don’t have the last two measures down and I need to work on the dynamics. I hope by the time my family meets for the Holiday, I’ll own this song.

bibileleParticipant@brettboy Wow, that was amazing! I’m also working on “It’s beginning to look like Christmas”, and I’m still struggling. 😀

AndrewKeymaster@abster – Wow! That was amazing! I’m gonna share your performance on our social media today 🙂
@anyon1 – Beautiful performance, Adriana! Excellent playing 👏
@jedart – Great job, Jed! There’s 2 things I would suggest working on. First, sometimes I hear a bit of a swing feel, and then sometimes I hear more of a straight feel. This song actually works well using either feel, but I’d suggest picking one and using it throughout the entire tune.Second, I’d recommend working on tempo, specifically keeping it more steady throughout. Try working on one section at a time, playing to a metronome while tapping your foot along.

InactiveIt’s cool seeing a child play an instrument, knowing the discipline needed, especially when so young. Congrats to Abster on being featured. May I add, too cute. Brettboy’s looks boppable 💃. Well done boys.

AndrewKeymaster@joe150 – Very nicely played, Joe! Only thing I’d suggest is to try playing along with me in the tab player to help strengthen timing/tempo 🙂

I chose Have Yourself a merry Little Christmas. So much fun to learn this one. I have enjoyed all submission, as always, everyone does wonderfully on these challenges. Regardless of what you may be celebrating this season, or even if you are not celebrating at all, I wish you all joy and peace.
@andrew I tried to donate to the ukulele kids club, but their page would not load. I will try again later and let you know when I have been successfulDecember 17, 2023 at 9:41 pm #59874terryfallon3

I love this melody, and Matt’s gorgeous arrangement.
Also contributing $100 to the Ukulele Kids Club. What they do is vitally worthwhile and proves the magic this little instrument can bring.
