    I accomplished the technical part adding the backing track audio file in iMovie on my iPad. Still took over an hour to get it to upload to google drive to save to my (non Mac) computer. I get so frustrated… never seems to upload the same each time. I know I’m not alone in the technical part of these challenges.

    I worked on Parrot Head Blues EP017 and goal was to just get to 75% with all the slides and hammer-ons. I actually got to 100%. Not flawless but it was fun to play.
    so challenge was complete… Louisa
    Thanks again @Andrew – another fun one.

    Hi @leb397 — It’s possible to save a video from the iPad to Files on the iPad and then copy the file to the PC over your wifi.

    Sooo many amazing entries, I just want to leave a quick comment on all the recent ones:

    @frederic
    , that sounds so amazing! Agreed with Andrew that it’s a huge improvement! And just generally that sounded so lovely and smooth. 😊

    @lhamilton
    , that sounded so very majestic with the bass! Very beautiful! 😊

    @anyon1
    , that sounded absolutely beautiful! So many tricky movements in that one and you played it beautifully! 🥰 I forgot how magical that song is! 😅

    @marianne
    , that sounded so lovely! Your playing is elegant as always! 😊🥰

    @rw1950merritt
    , very beautiful playing! It is borderline impossible to play through with no mistakes. 😂 Okay, not impossible, but very difficult. You did a lovely job! 😊

    @gi_gi_
    friend, absolutely gorgeous cover! Gull dang, you need to share that singing voice of yours more often! So beautiful! 😊 Open Mic? 😉😂🥺😳😅 I hope you have safe travels! 🥰😊

    @leb397
    , you absolutely nailed that! Really perfect! So much fun to listen to that. Lovely work, friend! 🥰😊

    Okay, I guess I’ll share my progress now. 😆 Oh good golly. I was extra a hot mess this month. So this is what I ended up recording. 😂😅😂 It’s basically an assortment of different things I used to practice the tremolo. Even though I was extra scatterbrained, I did practice almost every day with these things and I think I at least increased my comfort and speed a tiny bit. Still needs work though. This is definitely something I will continue to work on. (Writing an original with this technique was more a bonus goal, but I think I will use this technique more and still try to use it in an original soon.) Thank you, @Andrew, for this amazing challenge! 😊

    Thanks @The_Bumble_Bard! U-Bass is a very different instrument to play compared to my regular ukes. It’s tuned in 4ths with the setup essentially making the circle of 5ths really simple to implement — which is terrific for using the U-Bass as an accompaniment instrument or the rhythm bass for a group.

    @lhamilton i love the bass rhythm. Always try to pick it out in a song. Your piece sounded cool as a solo. I like your explanation above.

    Update 4:
    I finished the Ultimate Beginner’s Guide. A recording might follow 😉
    For now, here is my take on The Path of the Wind:

    I need to buy a better microphone, the one in the laptop cuts off a half of the sound…

    @The_Bumble_Bard – The change you made for high G for the intro to Contemplations was perfect! It gave it the right sound that that technique needs. I like that you made that technique your theme for this month. It sounds great on all the tunes you played 🙂

    @nelsonlin2021
    – Congrats on completing the harmonics course and TY so much for the kind words, Nelson! Your performance was excellent! Great job getting the harmonics to ring and sustain clearly.

    @Kasia
    – Very beautifully played with great feel throughout! Bravo Kasia 👏

    here is my progress… 😬 I have a few more days!!!

    BTW- I’m working on a new arrangement, memorizing 3 string chords and lyrics. my goal is to play the full arrangement with intro and outro riff. I’m NOT there yet but there is hope for Friday!
    There is a solo section but I may just play chord arpeggios in that section or just skip it. I am no where near close to learning the solo part.

    Hi All – For this month’s challenge I worked on a new technique – rasqueado (aka “sweep”) because I wanted to learn some Spanish sounding songs. To apply it, I learned a new song, La Gitanita (Gypsy Girl) which used the technique. I also got some practice on another technique – Picado. This was a really fun song to learn.
