We’re experiencing an unusual heatwave right now. I decided to go with Dalida’s version (it’s slower and required less practice), though I still had to sweat it out—literally, like in a sauna—while working on it.

    Have a nice day! 🌞 🌹 🌞

    Hi,

This month I worked on Red is the Rose — I’d been hoping it would come up as a choice soon.

I’m playing the ukulele I won a few months ago by the way. I really like it.

    Hi all,

This month, I tried “Red is the Rose”. I wish I had more time to work on it, but we leave for vacation tomorrow and I won’t have a chance to submit after tonight. I was only able to get it up to about 60% of full speed (and still had a few issues), but it’s a nice tune and fun to play. (I played it on a baritone since I liked how that sounded a little more.)

    Best,
    Trace

I recorded Cielito Lindo chord melody this month. No vocals, you really don’t want to hear me sing 🙂

Hi 🙂 This month I’ve chosed Kemp’s Jig. I didn’t know this song before. A very pleasant melody.

Hi RC101! I hope everyone had a wonderful month despite the heat many of us have been experiencing across the Northern Hemisphere.

I really enjoyed learning the beautiful French love song La Vie en rose for this month’s challenge. It was a pleasure exploring its elegant melody and expressive phrasing, and I gained a deeper appreciation for the song’s timeless charm.

Hello all. I went with Kemp’s Jig this month. Lots of fun to play, not so much at the beginning of the month, but toward the end. No surprise there. Good to listen to everyone’s submissions so far.

Hello friends. @mysticrick and I worked on a duet with KEMPS JIG. Rick played his beautiful Kanile’a he won in December. He is not participating in the drawing but was great fun joining me this month. It’s hard enough playing solo but getting a respectable take with two, adds more work.
I too was not familiar with the song but it’s become an ear worm 😆. Very catchy. Also love the back story on how far Kemp walked…
Rick and I will continue to work on this as a pocket performance
Thank you @Andrew, really fun arrangement

Amazing how much I actually practiced this only to get to this level of (in)competence! Anyway here is my attempt at Kemp’s Jig.
