    Thanks, Andrew. I love when I get a chance to play that ukulele. It was a gift from my daughter. She commissioned it and told the artist I was an actual musician and it had to be playable. Most of the artist’s ukes are just bought to be hung on walls for decoration.

    I’m very pleased with my ability to play “Where is My Mind?” But not so much the video – I did a mess up on one of my favourite parts in the instrumental bit. Oh well. I’m away for the rest of May, so don’t have time to do another recording.

    Beautiful and unusual arrangement of this song, Steven.

    @lyndallk – Bravo, Lyndall! Very beautifully played. The instrumental part (section D) opens up with some tricky runs! I would loop that section and practice it slower, working it up to speed.

    I actually got both the chord and the measure wrong. My struggle starts at measure 21 not 20

    Thanks for the feedback, Andrew! 🙂 If I get time later in the month, I’ll do it again after more practice of Section D.

    This month I worked on Dream A Little Dream because it is a favorite and I love Matt’s beautiful arrangement. Thanks RockClass101!

    @willw18 – Great job, Will! I do have a couple of suggestions for you. The first one is about the dynamics. For this song, I’d recommend trying to maintain a more consistent feel between the different parts. For example, the intro is fingerpicked at a softer dynamic, then for the verse, you switch to a strong attack and accented hits. In my opinion, it felt a bit of an abrupt change.

    Secondly, try to work on keeping the timing/tempo a little steadier throughout.

    @dianna
    – Fingerpicking sounds great, Dianna! I do have one suggestion, focusing on maintaining a steady tempo could enhance the musicality of your performance even further. Doing so would allow the piece to flow seamlessly and really bring out its emotive quality. So I’d recommend practicing to a click and when that becomes second nature, feel free to experiment with rubato.

    Thanks Andrew, I will continue practicing using the metronome and play-along video and try to re-post before the end of the month😁

    I am working on “Where is My Mind?” this month. Again, RC101 has showed me a song I’ve never heard before and made me fall in love with it. 😊😅
    I noticed that I played some parts a bit faster than Steven, mostly in the outro. But I felt like I couldn’t hold that partial barre with the index finger any longer so I speeded up, haha 😅 In general the tune feels like a workout for the index finger, because of the intro, the outro and that awkward shape in bars 25 and 27. 😂
    I am so glad that I managed to get a recording without any major mistakes… playing almost 3 mins straight without any brain freezes and the camera recording is hard. 😅
    Not quite happy with the hammer-on and pull-off parts in section D in that take, but well… it’s always easier when the camera isn’t watching. 😊

    @joe150 – Beautifully played, Joe! From here, I’d suggest memorizing the piece and practicing 4 or 8 bar sections with a metronome. That’ll help you keep the timing/tempo steady throughout 🙂
